Abstract

Bell's palsy is paralysis or weakness of the facial peripheral nerves acutely (acute onset) on one side of the face. The purpose of this study is to determine the management of infrared, electrical stimulation and mirror exercise. The research methods used in compiling this scientific work were assessment, diagnosis, history taking, and intervention. The treatment methods used are infrared, electrical stimulation and mirror exercise which aimed to help improve the functional abilities of the face. The results obtained after 6 treatments were carried out from 08th March to 03th April 2023 with a diagnosis of bell's palsy using infrared, electrical stimulation and mirror exercise there was a decrease in facial muscle strength and the Ugo Fisch examination and sensory tests showed a decrease in facial muscle strength and the therapy had changed. It is recommended to the patient's family to always monitor the progress of their parents and always train them at home with examples of exercises given by the physiotherapist and exercises that are carried out regularly.
